The Bird’s Nest is one of four apartments at Palisades Place with a queen bed and a twin size futon. This contemporary studio apartment has a layout that smartly accommodates four. The Bird’s Nest’s balcony offers the perfect place to relax under its canopy after a day on the town. Located in the beautiful Palisades, Washington’s prime location near Georgetown, Bird’s Nest offers quick access to downtown, the White House, museums etc.
The Bird’s Nest has its own private entrance, is air conditioned, has WIFI, cable TV and comes with linens, towels etc. This studio apartment accommodates 4 people with a queen bed, a very comfortable single-sized sleeper sofa in its own special sleeping nook. It is air-conditioned and has its own washer dryer in a small walk-in closet, full kitchen with a dishwasher, college fridge, coffee maker, and all utensils needed.
The balcony with its canopy is great for morning coffee or a cold drink after a beautiful day on the town.
Located in the leafy and safe and close in Palisades Neighborhood, Bird’s Nest offers fine dining, casual restaurants, and regular conveniences, such as Starbucks, UPS, convenience store/deli, yoga studio, post office, and a pharmacy. For families with children of all ages, the public Palisades Community Center/Playground offers sport fields, tennis courts, a skate board area, a playground and for toddlers a seasonal waterslide, and is only a block and a half away. Within easy 2 mile bus ride on the D5 to the Safeway grocery store and walking distance to 2 convenience stores, a fine wine store, the local library, just steps to access to the beautiful hiking/biking Capital Crescent Trail and the historic C&O Canal (which can take you all the way to Pittsburg PA), the Potomac River, Fletcher’s Boat House and so much more.
Georgetown University, American University, George Washington University, Foxhall Campus, The French and German Embassy as well as Georgetown University and Sibley Hospitals are all within a two-mile-radius nearby.
The D5 and D6 bus lines will take you downtown and the M4 will take you to the Tenleytown Metro. Zipcar, Car2go, Uber and Lift are also easily available and in case you bring your own transportation there are reserved parking spaces available at the apartment as well as unrestricted street parking one block away.

1) Our properties are protected by SUPERHOG. Please note that if you book a short-term rental (under 30 days), you will be contacted by SUPERHOG directly to verify yourself. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in.
2) Please confirm that you accept the following House Rules and Responsibilities on behalf of yourself and guests. A violation of the House Rules can result in an immediate termination of your reservation without refund.
For the comfort of our guests, residents and members of the Sojourn team, smoking of any kind (marijuana, cigarettes, or vaping) is not permitted anywhere in the interior of our building or within fifty (50) feet of our building, including outdoor spaces. Should our team or neighbors report the odor of smoke we will contact the booking service, terminate your stay, claim any and all damages, including but not limited to a $500 smoking fee, and post the appropriate review.
Parties and events are strictly prohibited. All Sojourn homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices (decibel readers), your privacy is safe however, noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay and are strictly enforced. In the event we are notified of any excess noise, music, gathering or parties a Sojourn representative will respond and your reservation will be terminated without refund. Please also note that all Sojourn buildings and homes are equipped with some type of exterior camera that records the exterior and common areas to include all entries to the building.
What NOT to Flush Down the Toilet or put down drains or in the garbage disposal - If found that these cause plumbing issues Sojourn can and will charge the guest.
* Cooking Grease/Food/Coffee grinds should never be poured down any drain, period.
* Feminine Products. Tampons and other feminine hygiene products are not supposed to be flushed down the toilet.

3) If you are booking a flat that allows pets the pet fee is $75 per pet per week. This home only allow for pets under 30 lbs. Pets must be quiet and stay with owner if the owner leaves the home for any reason.
4) We are happy to provide both a Pack and Play and/or high chair. These must be reserved in advance and a $25 rental fee will be charged.
5) There are three onsite small parking spaces available but because there are four apartments and three these parking spaces are reserved separately. There is also unrestricted street parking available one block away.
6) There may be times where the home needs unexpected, or scheduled preventative maintenance. While we do our best not to interrupt your stay with us, sometimes this cannot be avoided thus Sojourn reserves the right to gain access to the properties at any time, after providing our guests with 24 hour written notice.View More
