You are within walking distance of the US Capitol, the House and Senate office, Eastern Market, restaurants, shopping, parks, schools, entertainment, and Eastern Market Metro.
The space
Enjoy living in this Jr one-bedroom, one-bath apartment with a carriage-house style skylight providing incredible natural light. The property mixes vintage charm with contemporary upgrades to the kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen has quartz counters, custom white cabinets, stainless steel appliances, and a pantry with laundry. The home has a queen size bed.
Guest access
Our home is contactless seamless and easy self check in. A code will be set for you and shared 48 hours before your arrival. At Sojourn we take your happiness and comfort seriously. No request is too big or too small for our team and we strive to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. Don't hesitate to ask.
Other things to note
We are looking forward to hosting you but there are a few things you need to do in order to make sure that you, and all of our guests, are safe and that everyone can enjoy their respective stays! This message also includes other useful information about pets, baby gear and parking:
1) Our properties are protected by SUPERHOG. Please note that if you book a short-term rental (under 30 days), you will be contacted by SUPERHOG directly to verify yourself. Please make sure this is completed prior to check-in.
2) Please confirm that you accept the following House Rules and Responsibilities on behalf of yourself and guests. A violation of the House Rules can result in an immediate termination of your reservation without refund.
For the comfort of our guests, residents and members of the Sojourn team, smoking of any kind (marijuana, cigarettes, or vaping) is not permitted anywhere in the interior of our building or within fifty (50) feet of our building, including outdoor spaces. Should our team or neighbors report the odor of smoke we will contact the booking service, terminate your stay, claim any and all damages, including but not limited to a $500 smoking fee, and post the appropriate review.
Parties and events are strictly prohibited. All Sojourn homes are equipped with noise monitoring devices (decibel readers), your privacy is safe however, noise levels exceeding normal levels are grounds for ending your stay and are strictly enforced. In the event we are notified of any excess noise, music, gathering or parties a Sojourn representative will respond and your reservation will be terminated without refund. Please also note that all Sojourn buildings and homes are equipped with some type of exterior camera that records the exterior and common areas to include all entries to the building.
What NOT to Flush Down the Toilet or put down drains or in the garbage disposal - If found that these cause plumbing issues Sojourn can and will charge the guest.
* Cooking Grease/Food/Coffee grinds should never be poured down any drain, period.
* Feminine Products. Tampons and other feminine hygiene products are not supposed to be flushed down the toilet.

3) If you are booking a flat that allows pets the pet fee is $75 per pet per week. This only applies to pet friendly listings.
4) We are happy to provide both a Pack and Play and/or high chair. These must be reserved in advance and a $25 rental fee will be charged.
5) If you are booking a flat in Washington DC, we may have parking options. Please inquire about advanced parking space reservations.
6) There may be times where the home needs unexpected, or scheduled preventative maintenance. While we do our best not to interrupt your stay with us, sometimes this cannot be avoided thus Sojourn reserves the right to gain access to the properties at any time, after providing our guests with 24 hour written notice.

We enjoyed our stay. The bathtub stopper is hard to operate.
The space is small but has lovely high ceilings.

I rented this place for my mother and spent the whole first and second day trying to communicate with the hosts through the app to solve the issue of the front door -- the lock/key pad was very confusing and my mother couldn't figure it out. She had to wait for a delivery person to come and let her in to the main building. It was dark and cold and she couldn't get ahold of anyone. Once she made it in to the main door, she was able to open the apartment. She didn't feel comfortable leaving the following day until someone came to fix the front lock but she waited all day for someone to come, missing the appointments she had that day. When she finally got on the phone with a company associate, the associate was rude and dismissive to her concerns, asking her "if she was done." The manager finally reached out on the app in the afternoon of the second day to resolve this issue and say she would be available if anything else was needed, but no one was ever in touch for the rest of her stay.Show more
